Tom is posing, Becky is not.
Dinosaur.
Halloween.
Tom gave me lessons in gouache. by way of a tiny lovebot.

Tiny, surly, feline rider.
Few shots from a recent visit to the Seattle Aquarium are up as I am finally working through a backlog of shots I haven’t made the time to share. Still using my point and shoot as primary and only recently read up on the reason why I’ve been so impressed with it’s performance.
This fine fellow (larger here) is a North Pacific Giant octopus and is the famed escape artist that would foray in to the tide pool displays to snack. Took a lot more shots but they were infected with noise from the needed high ISO settings. All part of the learning process. Molly, however, managed to capture the coolness of the jellies.

New tanks for the firebellies and leopard gecko.
I have a lot of photos to go through.
A sort of naturalist/synthetic mashup, cubed.
Substrate is a sand and clay mixture, was able to terraform by adding water. Time will tell how structurally sound it is but the packaging suggests going as far as creating caves and tunnels.
Replacing the digital thermometer with an analog one, thing’s been wonky for ages.
Quite the change from the minimalist tank I’ve maintained for over a decade now, but a trip to Afghanistan (where leopard geckos DWELL) inspired something the guy could at least attempt to burrow in. I know Starship Jim is a digger and while my own gecko has been thriving since 1996 I figured he was due a housing makeover.
Looking to add some air plants in to the backing, going to monitor temp and humidity over the next day or so to see if that’ll work.

Current count is 14 kills, this guy was just grubbin’ some chow. If it were up to me there’s be 14 morbidly obese mice running around but what can you do.

Finally got around to restocking the frog tank with plants.
