VotD – My Day, Yesterday

Came across this last week over at LS. It’s pretty rare I get sucked in to a meme but after just a taste I had to do my own.

Carrying the camera around all day (the originator shot all his on the new d90) was surreal, I gravitated towards documentation process but the thing about video vs photo is the number of freakin’ factors on an angle. It was only with restraint that I wrapped up without any staged footage other than doing something twice. Like the microwave.

Even without much on the agenda it was difficult, wallowing in this foreign medium, to cut and prune down to 90 seconds.

I prefer photos. I think at the end I had 140 or so clips, a lot for 90 seconds. Motion is not something I’m accustomed to capturing, though there were some shots yesterday that clicked but fell to the cutting room floor. More of the lizard hunting, had to tie my shoe during the run.

Refreshing though. Perhaps VotD will get thrown in mix.
